Chile becomes the main focus for Accolade Wines at Prowein 2016

Accolade Wines has confirmed that it will be exhibiting at Prowein (Hall 9 Stand J06) with a specific focus on its newest purchase, Anakena. Acquired at the end of 2015, Accolade has been working on integration plans over the past few months, and is now gearing up to stocking the wines in its own central distribution warehouse in the UK, and developing new business.

Launching the new Anakena Birdman series of wines, which include a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Merlot and a Sauvignon Blanc, Rupert Firbank, Commercial Director of Travel Retail comments, “Exhibiting at Prowein is always a great opportunity for us to showcase our amazing portfolio of wines. We have a wine that suits every taste bud, at prices that suit every budget. The new Anakena range gives our portfolio an added boost, and we are sure that it will be enjoyed by all.”

Accolade Wines is continuing to develop its business with Mud House and Grant Burge, which are also relatively recent purchases for the company. Having won listings with a number of airlines, Accolade is hoping Prowein will help the exposure of the two brands.

The company is also pleased to announce that the following wines will be available across a number of airlines this spring and summer, throughout Europe, USA, and Asia: Eileen Hardy Chardonnay, Hardys HRB Shiraz, Mud House Sauvignon Blanc, Waipara Hills Sauvignon Blanc, Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz, and Grant Burge 5th Generation Barossa Shiraz.

Accolade will also be showcasing a large number of its fantastic award winning winemakers on its stand including: Bill Hardy, the 5th Generation Hardys family member and brand ambassador, accompanied by Accolade Wines’ Head winemaker in Australia, Paul Lapsley. From Flagstone, South Africa, Bruce Jack, and Ben Jordan. From Geyser Peak, USA - Ondine Chattan. Ricardo Letelier Managing Director for Anakena in Chile. From Mud House, and Waipara Hills, New Zealand, Jack Glover.

Firbank adds, “This is the one occasion in the year that we bring our large portfolio of wines and winemakers from around the world together, in order for our customers to come along, taste and learn about our wines. We encourage everyone to come and try our wines on our stand, and enjoy what we have to offer during the show.”
