William Grant & Sons (WGS) is delighted to welcome Matthew Williams
to its team as the new Regional Director for Asia Pacific Global Travel Retail.
Matthew’s previous role at Amer Sports Corporation as Regional
Sales Director (VP) Asia Pacific saw him responsible for leading the sales
& GO TO Market function across Asia Pacific.
Prior to that, Matthew held various commercial leadership roles
with Diageo across its Australian, UK, Global & Asia Pacific business units
– most recently as Commercial Director at Shui Jing Fang in Chengdu, where he
had tremendous success in turning around the fortunes of the Baijiu brand.
“I am absolutely delighted to be back in the spirits business and
could not ask for a more dynamic, innovative and exciting company to be working
with than William Grant & Sons,” Matthew says. “Travel retail is a new
channel for me but I am confident that my skill set will enable me to bring
fresh thinking to the table. I am very much looking forward to my new role with
William Grant & Sons and very pleased to be back in Singapore” he adds.
Matthew reports directly to Ed Cottrell, WGS Managing Director, who
comments: “We are absolutely delighted to have Matt join the team. His
impressive résumé gives me the utmost confidence that he will prove to be a strong
contributor to our Travel Retail business as well as a valuable member of my
Senior Leadership Team.”
Matthew has been part of WGS family since January 2018.
