FRAAS POP-UP store delivers strong results at Munich Airport

FRAAS – the scarf company –  implemented a Pop-up Store concept this February at Munich Airport in cooperation with eurotrade.

The concept clearly met the expectations of eurotrade and FRAAS, being very well received by traveling shoppers.

FRAAS and eurotrade have together proven that scarves, which tend to be an impulse driven purchase, can be a great asset to every operator in Travel Retail, providing the concepts is well executed and communicated.

The Pop-up Store highlighted FRAAS’ latest innovative designs along with with more classical styles and covered different price points from €29.95 up to €249.

The Travel Essentials range (e.g. Ponchos) in particular, along with FRAAS gifts sets and the Signature collection, which is exclusively made in Germany and Italy, were amongst the bestsellers, equally liked by Germans and other nationalities.

Hannes Koch, consultant FRAAS Global Travel Retail comments: “In our ambitious plans to become the leading global scarf brand in Travel Retail it was an important test to prove that our concept is a great fit for the channel. We are pleased with the very positive sales results and even more with the received appreciation from consumers.”

Nils Schirmer, director purchasing eurotrade adds: “We were pleased with the easiness of our cooperation and are happy to have seen that premium quality even at a more accessible price point can work very well for us. We believed in FRAAS and are happy to say that they clearly passed the test and convinced us an operator with their professional and flexible approach!”

Currently both parties are working on a permanent installation for FRAAS at Munich Airport.

FRAAS will be exhibiting at TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference (Level 1 Q15) in May in Singapore where it is looking forward to showcasing its concepts and ideas to interested channel buyers!
