William Grant & Sons is delighted to welcome a new member
to its travel retail team; Andrew Clifton replaces André de Almeida, who left
the company last year, as Regional Director for Europe & North America
after five years on William Grant’s domestic team.
Andrew originally joined WG&S’s UK domestic team as head
of the On Premise business as part of ‘Project Transformer’, to grow the
company’s presence, commercial sales and brand building agenda in the channel.
From there he moved in to the Sales Director for Off Trade with responsibility
for all sales and customer marketing teams across retail and wholesale
customers. For the last 15 months, Andrew has been the UK Commercial Director
leading WG&S’s domestic sales, customer marketing and sales operations
teams in the UK.

building premium brand equity underpinned by a profitable commercial platform,
and as such provides a potential wealth of learning and experience,” says
Andrew. “I am mostly looking forward to working with new people across multiple
cultures and geographies and achieving our ambitious goals in an ever changing
environment. As one of my favourite sayings goes: ‘the best way to predict the
future is to create it,’ and in GTR the team have an exceptional opportunity to
create our future and set up our own ambitions and aspirations for success.”
