Headlining the Travel Collections for 2015 is the new “Triple Zip” bag, an extremely innovative and practical shape with one inside zip compartment, two open compartments, two large compartments and one smaller middle compartment. Available in nylon with cowhide trimmings, the Triple Zip bag comes in a variety of basic colours as well as popular seasonal colours sky blue, pittaya pink and taupe. This ‘it’ bag for 2015 is also offered in sky blue and rose nylon Jacquard.
The women’s Travel Collection divides into three – Uni, Icon Jacquard and Icon Fabric - with popular carryover styles such as Piccolina featuring in all.
Uni – Featuring mainly nylon material with cowhide trimmings, Uni provides fashionable yet practical bags and accessories. Offered in a variety of colours including: black, sand, chianti, night blue as well as seasonal colours, shapes include Piccolina, Crossover, Mini, Triple Zip, City, Unisex laptop and Long Wallet. In addition, the collection also offers a Mini Saffiano leather bag and two varieties of bracelets; a set of three bracelets in gold, silver and black made of cowhide with a beautiful metal Aigner symbol and a set of two available in the basic Aigner colours.
Icon Jacquard- This collection offers two stunning bags in two colours, taupe/rose and taupe/sky blue made from Nylon Jacquard and Cowhide trimmings. The unique and eye-catching patterns give them a high fashion look and with a variety of compartments these bags are the perfect accessory for any high flying women.
Icon Fabric- Made from Icon Fabric Jacquard this Piccolina bag has a breath-taking pattern. Its high quality look and magnetic locker make this bag a great companion whether you are on a plane or at a party.
Men's SLG- Offering the male traveller a variety of wallet styles all made from Saffiano leather, this collection oozes high quality. Available in a variety of sizes including: wallet with card compartments, long wallet, travel wallet and wallet with removable credit card case, there is a wallet for every travelling man. Men's Belt- Manufactured from Cowhide, these belt sets from Aigner have been especially designed for the male traveller. Each set comes with a choice of two buckles and with a reversible element giving the consumer a choice of either Saffiano or plain leather, these belt sets are a must have accessory.
Travel Retail Manager, Amanda Garbarino comments, "We are extremely optimistic about our new SS15 collection. Aigner has a broad appeal globally; consumers love the brand for its quality and heritage combined with fantastic styling and both classic and modern designs. We are continually watching trends to ensure that we are offering consumers the most up to date items. We will always try and keep our collections on trend but we will always still try to retain our classic and timeless roots."
This year has seen very positive travel retail growth for Aigner, particularly in the Middle East, where the brand opened a corner at QDF’s new Hamad International Airport in June. Aigner plans to open a pop-up store with Dubai Duty Free in Concourse A this December, along with a corner in the new concourse D in early 2015, giving the luxury fashion brand a presence in all four concourses at the airport.
In addition, Aigner continues to extend its presence globally, opening corners in Mumbai Airport and KLIA 2 and recently opening a shop at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal in Hong Kong. Next year will also see a popup store open in February at Munich airport.
Garbarino comments, "The Middle East has seen a great deal of positive growth for us over the past year. Our brand is popular all over the globe but we are aware of the huge potential both in this region and Asia, so we will concentrating hard on extending our presence in these areas."
Aigner celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2015 with a number of events globally, including a major event attended by international celebrities in March in Munich, and more activities planned for the Middle East. As part of this achievement, the company has created a limited edition collection of 50 unique Cybill bags in exotic leathers from stingray to alligator, available in selected travel retail outlets from December 2014 onwards, including Munich, Frankfurt, Dubai and Doha airports.
