Accolade Wines hails success of partnership with Lotte Duty Free as sole wine supplier in seasonal Mini promotion

Accolade Wines has once again partnered with Lotte Duty Free (previously JR/Duty Free) to be the sole wine supplier in a large-scale seasonal Australasian promotion.

The main prize of the promotion saw travellers get the opportunity to win 12 brand new Mini cars over the three months from November 2018 to February 2019.

This is the second successive year that Accolade and JR/Duty Free combined to run the promotion over the Christmas and Lunar New Year period.

The activation was staged across Brisbane, Darwin and Wellington airports, and online.

Accolade used a red and gold Lunar New Year-inspired theme in promotional materials across its many brands, including Grant Burge, Arras, St Hallett, Hardys, Petaluma, Stonier and Croser.

A large pop-up activation space in Brisbane Airport enabled travellers to interactively read tasting notes for each wine and accept the invitation to “Explore the Best of Australian Wine” before heading through into the main shopping area of the airport.

Brand Ambassadors were also on hand throughout the promotional period to assist and advise shoppers on the wines that may be best suited to them.

Rupert Firbank, Commercial Director, Global Travel Retail for Accolade Wines said: “Feedback has been hugely positive and the premium wines have sold exceptionally well.

“Australia as a whole continues to be one of Accolade’s heartlands, and special features like this promotion allows our wine brands to really stand out to millions of passengers of all nationalities.”

Nicole Dowling, Buyer – Liquor at Lotte Duty Free Oceania, said: “"We are proud to partner again with Accolade Wines for our biggest promotion of the year.

“Accolade Wines are able to provide a diverse range of Australian products that appeal to a diverse range of passengers. Their support at this time and throughout the year is invaluable.”
