After what is anticipated to be
another highly popular Paul&Shark sponsored regatta on the opening Sunday
of this year’s TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, the company will ‘open
it’s doors’ to visitors from a completely new-look stand space (Riviera RH8). This
will reflect the values of Paul&Shark in a contemporary way that combines
tradition and innovation.
A main focus on the stand will be
the ‘Save the Sea’ project – another
example of Paul&Shark’s dedication to environmental protection through a collaboration
with inspired artist Annarita Serra, who creates artworks using plastic items
found on beaches in order to raise awareness of the huge sea pollution problem.
Paul&Shark will be setting the artist, who will be present in Cannes, a
challenge– to be announced at the show on the opening Monday. To support the
project, Paul&Shark has created a cotton t-shirt and bomber jacket in
recycled polyester nylon, 100% derived from post-consumer plastic bottles
collected and processed in Italy. The yarn used stands out in terms of design,
high performance and quality.
Main Highlights of the core Spring-Summer 19 collection will
be displayed: each creation blends tailoring and active wear, haute couture and
sportwear luxury. Everything is designed to reach new technological frontiers -
without forgetting the charm and casualness that have always characterised the
brand.
A key emphasis for 2019 is again the
Loro Piana collaboration which
focuses on the Storm System range of ultra-luxury pieces in natural fabrics
that use a double barrier of water-repellent treatment and an exclusive
hydrophilic membrane to create pieces that are waterproof, wind resistant and
breathable – yet offer perfect style.
Paul & Shark’s Travel Project collection is an obvious choice for global travel
retail - clothing designed to ensure maximum comfort when
travelling, combining precious materials with sophisticated and practical
details. Blazers, shirts and trousers are treated with ‘Easy Care’ that leaves
fabric feeling soft, reduces creasing and requires no particular washing method
– so ideal for the man who is on the go. Sweaters in cashmere intertwined with
an ultra-fine nylon thread maintain their shape and elasticity. The two
Jackets, one in padded down, are warm, foldable, and ultra-light – perfect for
travel.
Another
example of how technology
blends with style is the garment range treated with UV Stop
uses Coldblack® to block the sun’s UV rays, reducing
the effect of heat on the body to maintain coolness and freshness at all times.
Always Paul&Shark is a capsule collection to celebrate the
design that has distinguished the brand over the last 40 years. It embodies
the long history and heritage of the brand, offering timeless garments that are
always in demand.
The Nick Wooster X Paul&Shark capsule collection tells the Italian brand's story through the eyes of the
eclectic American designer. Appealing to a more fashion
conscious clientele, colours, prints and patchwork details are the key elements
of the Nick Wooster X Paul&Shark collection. Knitwear is made from
ultra-light cashmere, while parkas, shirts and shorts feature patchwork details
inspired by striped shirts. The jackets and shirts have been embellished with
exclusive contrasting colour blocks. Materials have been used in an unusual and
alternative ways; super soft, ultra-light cashmere comes in signature
fluorescent colours; unusual fabrics are used for shirts and shorts; coats are
often reversible, with two contrasting personalities, just like their fabrics.
See all this and more on the Paul&Shark stand in Cannes where, as
always, visitors to the stand will be offered a personalized and unique gift
using its special embroidery machine that is installed in travel retail
boutiques to create additional interest and consumer engagement.
