FRAAS – The Scarf Company is returning to TFWA World
Exhibition (Red Village, K29) to showcase its Spring/Summer 19 Collection and
will be highlighting a new personalisation concept developed specifically for
the growing cruise line business.
Cruise ships listing FRAAS scarves are being offered the
opportunity to install a special embroidery machine that enables each item
bought by passengers to be personalised.
“Personalisation has
been developing over the years and has become an important trend in both the
high street and travel retail. Gifting is a huge part of the FRAAS offer, so
the addition of a free personalisation service creates a further incentive to
buy,” comments Andreas Schmidt, Owner and Managing Director, FRAAS. “The embroidery machine can be
onboard for the full length of the trip, so passengers can even buy items for
themselves and then wear during the cruise experience.”
Already
listed successfully with Tallink & Silja line, FRAAS is confident that the
personalisation offer will help it to build its cruise business moving forward.
“We will have the machine on the stand
in Cannes and will embroider a scarf for all visitors attending with pre-booked
meetings,” continues Schmidt. “There’s no better way to show customers how a
promotion like this works than by recreating it on the stand.”
In addition to
this new concept, FRAAS will be showcasing its 2019 spring/summer collection, dedicated
to colour.
Psychology
has long recognised the significance of colour, especially in the unconscious
role it often plays in mood and decision-making. It is just this power that the
designers at FRAAS – The Scarf Company used to inspire its Spring/Summer 2019
collection. Bold colours, pastel hues, large areas of colour, patterns and
motifs in watercolours, large prints and fine patterns are the main focus of
the collection.
The FRAAS spring / summer range 2019 is split into three
trend themes:
MECCANO TOYS with
colour blocking in red, pink, violet as well as clean black and white scarves,
shawls and accessories designed with clear patterns inspired by machinery and
pop art. And as a highlight to each item, these scarves are splashed with
slogans about ‘love’ and ‘solidarity’.
Shawl 623765, 103 x 103cm, 75% Cotton, 25% Silk.
POOLGLOW offers
pastel colours, watercolours and exotic fruit (‘vitalising vitamins’) – as well
as clean stripes in blue and white that suggest a feeling of the sea, summer evenings and a
light breeze toying with the scarf.
Scarf 623723, 50 x 178cm, 100% Cotton.
POLISHED MEMORIES
is the most playful category of the summer range. Its faded colours are
nonetheless still fully radiant – like memories. A mix of patterns from strict,
graphic checks, and lines - to patterns, as if hand sketched, of hearts,
circles, and lines are brought together in one modern piece. Colours include
naturals, rose and pale yellow.
Stole 623765, 150 x 140cm, 50% Modal, 50% Viscose.
FRAAS Signature Collection |
In addition, the company will be
showcasing its FRAAS Signature Collection. With RRPs of €69-399, the
collection is exclusively manufactured in Germany and Italy and is distilled
from the carefully guarded essence of FRAAS’s expertise. In this new capsule
collection, the best of 135 years of scarf manufacturing is combined with the
ambitions of a leader in the world market.
