Following the large
success of the pop-up barbershop Capi created at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in
March of this year, the travel retailer now brought this exciting in-store
activation to Copenhagen Airport. On the 3rd and 4th of
August, Capi organised this unique promotion with Philips again to promote the
Philips OneBlade Pro. A perfect way to create an exciting experience for
travellers searching to be inspired and entertained during their dwell time at
the airport.
The Philips OneBlade Pro does it all; trimming, shaving and
creating lines and edges on any hair length, for both wet and dry use. Since
Capi always tries to inspire and surprise travellers, the leading airport
retailer of consumer electronics created a real nostalgic barbershop in its
store. The professional barber offered travellers a relaxing experience in the
Capi store by shaving and grooming them with the OneBlade and by giving them
styling advice. The barber was assisted by a dedicated promotor, who was
trained by Philips to offer the best service possible. Travellers were very
surprised by this special promotion giving them a perfect start of their holiday.
In close cooperation with Philips and Copenhagen Airport, Capi
is again able to make a large success of this unique promotion, which led to
high sales and many travellers entering the Capi store. As Mette Pedersen,
Senior Category Manager at Copenhagen Airport, explains: “At CPH, we wish to
create a stronger emotional bond with our travellers – moving beyond product to
social interaction and unique personalised shopping experiences. The Capi
barbershop promotion is a perfect example of a partner working with us to
