Award
winning inflight supplier, Scorpio Worldwide, comes to TFWA World Exhibition (Mediterranean Village, P08) with a brand new and
original Perfume and Cosmetic offer. The growing market share of ‘niche
brands’ in inflight sales globally was identified by Scorpio Chairman Stuart
McGuire at the Inflight Focus Workshop at TFWA World Exhibition 2015.
Since then the demand for ‘niche brand’s’ has further increased, and Scorpio’s
dedicated buying team have been working hard to find new and exciting brands,
perfectly targeted for the inflight consumer.
The
unique Aromatherapy brand Tisserand, launched by Scorpio at TFWA Asia
Pacific Exhibition this year has received high praise, achieving a number of
inflight listings already. At the heart of each handcrafted Tisserand product
is 100% natural essential oil blends, free from synthetic fragrances. Every
drop of essential oil used is of the highest quality grade, carefully tested to
ensure the upmost purity and effectiveness.
Due to its immediate popularity, Scorpio Worldwide is extending the Tisserand offer to include an inflight travel retail exclusive set – Calming Night Duo. This ‘must have’ product is exclusively made for the traveller, to aid sleep and reduce jet lag. The Sweet Dream Relaxing Pillow Mist is simply sprayed on the pillow at bed time, to help soothe and relax the traveller for a good nights sleep on the road. Coupled with the Sweet Dreams Aromatherapy Rollerball, which is easily applied to the pulse points, this set has been designed to help the discerning traveller feel de-stressed and revived on his/her journey, making this the perfect travel companion and inflight remedy. Another great new brand offered by Scorpio
Worldwide is NudeStix. The brand
was inspired by sisters and aspiring models, Ally and Taylor Frankel who have
worked with some of today’s hottest makeup artists and photographers. They both
soon realised that the full face of make-up they had to wear in front of the
camera was not for them, preferring an all-natural look with a touch of colour
to accentuate their finest features. Having grown up in the beauty industry they
turned to their mother, Jenny Frankel. A
multi-award winning, cosmetics business builder and chemical engineer, Jenny
Frankel commenced her career formulating products for industry giant MAC
Cosmetics. Jenny moved on to create
COVER FX, a cosmeceutical complexion brand, winning multiple awards for her
iconic cream foundation formula. Identifying the ‘white space’ in the cosmetics
industry for innovative, neutral-tones, easy-to-use makeup products and
collaborating with Ally and Taylor on product ideas, shades and cool style,
NUDESTIX beauty was born.

Flavoured
lip balms continue to play a part of Scorpio’s on trend cosmetics portfolio for
2016, with the introduction of a travel retail exclusive four-piece gift box
from Jelly Belly. The presentation box comes with four bean shaped
tins, in fruity flavours including: Very Cherry, Tutti Frutti and Strawberry
Jam. Scorpio has also extended its offering from Lipsmacker, to
include a new six piece Coke Cup shaped tin, containing an all Coke line up,
including three new flavours – Coke Lime, Coke Lemon and Coke Black Cherry
Vanilla.

Lip Balm brands from Scorpio include:
Pepsi - A travel retail set of five different
flavoured balms. Packaged in the globally recognised Pepsi Can, the flavours
include: Mountain Dew, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi, Cherry and Vanilla.
Hershey’s – Lip Balm tin of six iconic Hershey’s flavours
including Kisses and Reeses Pieces.
From the leading global
brand, Victoria’s Secret, Scorpio Worldwide will also be
showcasing the new Fragrance Crayons - having already been successfully
trialled with one airline earlier this year, the crayons have proved extremely
successful, securing a lot of interest. The ‘Scent with Love’ crayons come in six
Victoria’s Secret popular fragrances – Bombshell, Angels Only, Noir Tease,
Victoria, Very Sexy and Heavenly.
Finally, from their own travel
collection, Scorpio will be launching a new Travel SOS Kit – Perfect for
those that have forgotten their essentials, the SOS kit includes a selection of
travel sized toiletries, plus an eye mask, dental and sewing items, and will be
available only to inflight. So no more last minute queuing for essentials
before boarding the plane!
