AURORA TARGETS TRAVELLERS AT KEY UK TOURIST DESTINATIONS

 Aurora’s leading character “YooHoo & Friends” continues to spearhead new retail opportunities in the UK which, in their tourist appeal, will assist in its aim to grow travel retail distribution.

 In a new marketing initiative, the YooHoo & Friends brand has become the exclusive sponsor of the Children's Zoo at Chessington World of Adventures Resort in Surrey. The Children's Zoo, populated with small animals such as goats, pigs and chickens, has been renamed the “YooHoo & Friends Children's Zoo” during the period of the sponsorship campaign.

 All signage, including notices and animal profile boards, together with park maps and websites have been themed with eye-catching YooHoo & Friends graphics.   Similarly the adjoining shop, associated with the adventure playground area known as the “AMAZU Treetop Adventure” and will connect with the new Chessington Azteca Hotel opening in Summer 2014, has been re-branded “YooHoo & Friends at the AMAZU Shop”.


Meanwhile, in London, YooHoo has a major window display at leading children's toy store Hamleys .  Very striking and drawing lots of attention, the windows are in place for the 6 week Spring period until just after Easter.

 YooHoo costume characters have appeared at both locations meeting and greeting customers and adding to their experience.

Aurora's Travel Retail Manager Garry Stoner said: 'These programs are taking place at two of the UK's foremost attractions and are perfect ways to build the Aurora and YooHoo brands with travellers and tourists. In our efforts to build travel retail distribution for Aurora, this kind of activity gives us excellent leverage.'
