New activation sees positive sales increase for Hawaiian Host

 Duty Free Americas stores have assisted popular leading macadamia company Hawaiian Host to a successful first quarter, recording a 19% increase in sales in the period March 2014 compared to March 2013. Behind this increase in sales is its new gift-with-purchase activation, where passengers receive a free branded cooler bag with every $40 or more spent on Hawaiian Host products. 

 

Featuring in key airport stores including: Detroit, Texas, Jamaica, Washington, and Houston, the in-store activation has proven extremely popular with travellers. Running until the end of April, this significant increase in sales shows the effectiveness of gift-with-purchase promotions. Following on from this successful period, there will also be a number of additional retailers that will be running the promotion throughout July.

"Our increase in sales figures in this period is extremely encouraging, this GWP has proved popular with travellers in this region, and it is clearly shows the power that in-store activations have on our sales," says Hawaiian Host’s Sales Representative, Natalie Torres.
