Capi brings the latest innovations in VR to TFWA Asia Pacific

Capi, the leading airport retailer of consumer electronics, focuses on emotion and a lifestyle experience rather than technical specifications. With the latest innovations, unique promotions and propositions, Capi offers travellers an exciting shopping experience. At TFWA Asia Pacific, Capi will presents its latest innovations in VR and drones on its highly successful marketing concept The Gadget Table.

Peter Wiggers, Managing Director Royal-Capi Lux explains: The Gadget Table, one of our marketing concepts, forms the centre of each Capi store and is a fine example of how we surprise and inspire travellers with unique gifts and gadgets. At TFWA Asia Pacific, Capi will present The Gadget Table where visitors can try out and experience exciting innovations, such as Smart Home solutions, drones and VR. On The Gadget Table, you will find ‘Sweet notes’ everywhere. These are small personal messages to remind travellers to buy a present for their friends, family or business relations.

Virtual Reality forms an ever increasing market and is constantly being improved. Wiggers continues: ”In Singapore this year, Capi will present one of the latest and most exciting additions to this field; the PlayStation VR glasses. We will provide travellers an impeccable VR experience with games, simulations and a noise-cancelling sound experience. To further enhance the exciting experience, other visitors will be able to follow the VR adventure live on screen on The Gadget Table.”

In Singapore, Capi will also present one of its latest launches in the popular range of drones; the DJI Mavic Pro drone. Capi had this compact, high-quality drone available as one of the first on the market.

“Moreover, we will present the new packaging and logo of our private brand Mitone. The innovative Mitone products are exclusively developed for the travel retail market and especially designed for fashion-sensitive and price-conscious travellers. On the new packaging, the focus is on the product’s added value, rather than its technical specifications. This shows our focus on lifestyle stores appealing to both men and women, rather than a technical focus.”  Wiggers adds.
