Swiss Eyewear Group is already seeing the benefits of new business with Saresco for its Invu sunglasses range.

Since February 2017, a number of Invu styles have been listed at the Lome airside store in Togo where, says Swiss Eyewear Group director travel retail international markets Rebecca Harwood Lincoln: “the trend styles are selling exceptionally well”.
Rebecca highlights Invu models T2702A and B as best sellers.  Both frames are bold round ladies styles in shades of transparent purple and black or transparent rose and black with gradient lenses, adding “in addition, classic aviator and metal frame styles for men such as Invu models B1701A and B1612A/B are also performing beyond expectations, while women’s oversized frames such as B2716B, coloured frames with contrasting temple such as B1710B and tortoiseshell frames B2723B are all proving very popular.”

Adds Rebecca: “The Saresco business came as a direct result of meetings held on our yacht, the Indulgence of Poole in Cannes last October.- just one of many really positive new business introductions we enjoyed during the week. With this year’s event just two months away, our appointment books are already filling up and we’re confident of another highly successful week.”

Champagne Lanson's new music box keeps in tune with the times!

Champagne Lanson is pleased to announce that it will be launching its brand-new limited edition packaging design concept, running from 30/8 to 29/09 at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Renowned for its exciting and innovative packaging designs, Champagne Lanson has achieved a keen following from those that enjoy collectable items and stunning Champagne.

This year, Champagne Lanson is releasing an audacious and elegant Music Box that combines the visual elements of the Lanson brand with a unique concept that enables an amplified sound when paired with your smartphone device. Thanks to a special resonance system, this special new Music Box allows individuals to enjoy Champagne Lanson, while listening to their favourite music, wherever and whenever they want.

Champagne Lanson Travel Retail Director, Olivier de La Giraudiere comments, “This new music box is completely different to anything we have ever released. The fact that it has such a unique and contemporary use is testament to what is needed in travel retail to entice and satisfy both the retailer and the consumer.”

Highlighting Lanson’s Black and Rose Labels, the pink and black Music Boxes clearly illustrate how the music box can be used as a speaker, as well as displaying the famous Lanson cross, embalm, and ‘The Perfect Start’ slogan.

“Launching something unique in travel retail is an exciting opportunity. Over the years, it has become increasingly difficult to gain ground in travel retail, due to the amount of competition and relatively small shelf space available to our category. We work hard to ensure what we release is exclusive, unique and innovative to appeal to our current customers, while also attracting new ones,” adds de La Giraudiere.

Capi highlights wireless charging solutions at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

As the leading airport retailer of consumer electronics, Capi is constantly in motion to offer travellers the latest trends. Since wireless solutions form an important development in the electronics market, Capi has embraced the next chapter in mobile technology: wireless charging. The airport retailer started a partnership with “andi be free”, a premium Swiss brand of TECFLOWER AG specialised in wireless charging with a twist. An innovation in the field: the docking station holds mobiles magnetically and charges it wirelessly. To showcase the easy and comfortable use of the innovative “andi be free” products available at Capi, the parties introduced an exciting robot arm at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Over the years, ‘wireless’ has become increasingly important in electronics retail, especially in airport retail. For that reason, Capi offers travellers a range of wireless products like headphones, earphones and speakers from premium brands, leading A brands and its private brand Mitone. This market of wireless solutions is expanding rapidly. And now, Capi takes wireless to the next level with the brand “andi be free”. Designed in Switzerland and made in Germany, the premium docks and cases for iPhone and Samsung Galaxy mobiles from generation 6 use a patent pending technology to charge mobiles wirelessly and hold them magnetically.
Together with the premium brand “andi be free”, Capi created a unique promotion on the Action Marketing Table at Lounge 2, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. A robot arm was installed to demonstrate how wireless charging works and how easy it is to move your mobile from one charging station to another. This robot arm immediately attracted the attention of many travellers.
Peter Wiggers, Managing Director Royal Capi-Lux, states: “With this robot arm, we have a dual purpose. We present this innovation in a unique manner, while giving travellers an exciting shopping experience. Travellers can fully discover this trend, adding to the unique and exclusive experience at the airport.”

Martina Gromnitza of TECFLOWER AG’s “andi be free” indicates: “Just like Capi’s assortment, our wireless charging solutions are perfectly suitable for travellers, enabling them to stay connected anywhere they want. Moreover, with our premium quality brand, we provide travellers with the latest innovations. Capi and TECFLOWER AG with its brand “andi be free”, turn out to be a great match, which is emphasised with the robot arm promotion.”
