Excellent response to Scorpio’s new Yamaha Factory Racing VR/46 Collection by TW Steel - As MotoGP prize goes to Air Asia’s May Kwong

Scorpio Worldwide reports a fantastic response to the introduction of its new Yamaha Factory Racing VR/46 Collection by TW Steel watches at TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition and Conference last month with listings immediately confirmed by Hong Kong Airlines for the TWWVR110 Blue chronograph model from October 1 and several more now confirmed or in final negotiation.

During the week, Scorpio also offered visitors to the stand a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win two VIP tickets to their nearest MotoGP including pit lane passes, VIP seating and full hospitality. The lucky winner was May Kwong Group Head of Duty Free Inflight Ancillary, Air Asia who will be invited to the Malaysian Grand prix later this year courtesy of TW Steel and Scorpio Worldwide ltd.

Offering a limited edition collection that is exclusive to inflight, Scorpio Worldwide has partnered with MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi and TW Steel to create a watch collection with all the quality and style attributes of the brand but at a more accessible price. The resulting collection - available exclusively to airlines from Scorpio Worldwide – is designed to reflect a burning ambition to be the best. A no compromise attitude that sees high quality materials used which, at the same time, pay homage to the cheeky wink and smile of ‘The Doctor’ – as Valentino Rossi is known to millions.

The Yamaha Factory Racing VR | 46 Watch Collection by TW Steel offers two main watch styles both characterized by their bright, colourful and sporty look: a Chronograph with high precision Japanese quartz movement set in an ultra-lightweight, strong carbon case with graphite dial, silicon strap and water resistance to  3ATM. The graphite dial gives the watches real depth and a unique look, yet retail price point offers fantastic value for money at $179. The second option is a three hand calendar watch with all other specifications the same at $129.

Says Scorpio Worldwide Sales & Marketing Director Richard Kennedy: “We expected a positive response to the Yamaha Factory Racing VR/46 Watch Collection by TW Steel in Singapore but were quite overwhelmed at just how excited our buyers were to see this new offer. We’re confident that the collection will soon join Aviator as one of our top selling brands inflight, combining fantastic on-trend styling and incredible value, along with the added excitement of MotoGP whilst retaining the TW Steel DNA.”
